I’m sure you would like Google to take this review down I welcome them contacting me for verification. Your process does not need clarifying, I went through it and my review is response to it. With regards to “only then do we provide a quote for proceeding”, I’m not sure how you label this as a “quote” when it is a fixed fee (or so I was advised by Jose) you know in advance of the first call, but you do NOT disclose until the customer has paid $500. This could easily be called out at the beginning of the process (especially when you mention the initial fee e.g. our fees are $500 for an initial consultation and an additional $6500 if you would like any personalised details (unless of course you are happy making a living from initial consultation). I’ve made a copy of this post including the edit and your reply which I will happily repost under my real name if you do get google to take it down (I wonder how many other genuine replies you have squashed). As stated, this is an honest review of my initial engagement in your Newcastle office and posted so others may benefit from the “transparency” you say is your core value. Original review. Very, very disappointed with pricing disclosure! This review is about their initial engagement session ONLY! They are up front that the initial consultation will cost $500. At the meeting they go through a questionnaire that you already completed, and give a very vanilla overview of investment diversity (which i feel you could find on YouTube) this did take 1.5 - 2 hrs so wasn't rushed. They then hit you at the end with a FIXED cost of an additional $6500 (which they knew in advance but they don't tell you until you owe them $500) if you want any personalised information. They aren't accountants so that would be extra, advised that they could not be specific with which funds within your super you should invest (just quotes that domestic and international shares had the best long term returns (again easily found on YouTube)) but they do sell insurance which features heavily in the diversification talk (go figure). I can't make any comments on the returns you may make (which must be good given all the 5 star reviews) as i decided to cut losses after spending $500 as i felt uncomfortable they had failed to be upfront about the actual fee for personalised advice of $6500 more for the FIRST year. I expressed that i felt this was lack of disclosure and they thanked me and said they would look into how to better communicate before first meetings for others. I guess only future customers will find out if this is true or if they are happy taking the initial consultation fee. Only one party is more wealthy after this meeting :/
